LILY ROZE
Infused with a distinctly European sensibility, Lily Roze creates photographs that blur the line between reality and dream. Using light, shadow, and texture with remarkable subtlety, she crafts atmospheric, cinematic images that linger long after they are seen.
Born in Geneva in 1972, Lily Roze moved to Paris in 1997 to study at the prestigious École Louis-Lumière, where she developed the unmistakable visual language that defines her work today. Often described as seeing through the eyes of a painter, she creates photographs that feel less like documents and more like fading memories.
Light is her most expressive tool, gently revealing silhouettes, quiet interiors, and intimate moments with the richness of classical chiaroscuro. Soft focus, delicate textures, and subtle movement give her images a velvety, painterly quality, while every composition carries a sense of stillness, intimacy, and quiet emotion.
Whether capturing a solitary landscape, an empty room, or the human figure, Lily Roze invites the viewer to slow down. Her timeless works—often presented in warm sepia tones or dreamlike monochrome—explore universal themes of memory, longing, and the fleeting nature of beauty.
Exhibited internationally in galleries and leading art fairs, Lily Roze has earned recognition for the emotional depth and poetic elegance of her photography. We are delighted to welcome her to the gallery and to share her extraordinary vision with our collectors.
